No reviews. No landlord ratings. No way to know if the AC actually works in August, if maintenance requests go ignored for weeks, or if the "quiet neighborhood" turns into a construction zone at 6 AM.
The rental market has operated without transparency for too long. Landlords and property managers have all the leverage — credit checks, background checks, income verification, references. Renters get a 20-minute walkthrough and a prayer.

Rent Verified is a free, community-driven platform where real tenants share honest reviews about the places they've rented. Any U.S. rental address can be searched and reviewed — houses, apartments, condos, townhomes, duplexes. If someone rents it, it belongs on Rent Verified.
Renters rate properties on three straightforward categories: Overall Experience, Property Condition, and Landlord Responsiveness. They can add a written review, upload photos, and choose whether to post under their name or anonymously.
The platform is 100% free for renters. No subscriptions, no paywalls, no premium tiers to unlock reviews. Reading and writing reviews costs nothing. That's by design — the people who need this information the most shouldn't have to pay for it.

Anonymous doesn't mean unverified. Reviewers can choose to post under their display name or anonymously — but either way, Rent Verified knows who they are.
Email Verification
Every account requires a confirmed email address. No throwaway inboxes — real people with real email addresses tied to their reviews.
Phone Verification
Every reviewer verifies their phone number via SMS. This prevents one person from creating multiple fake accounts and spamming reviews.
AI Content Moderation
Reviews and photos pass through automated moderation that flags profanity, spam, inappropriate images, and suspicious patterns before they go live.
Landlord Dispute Process
Landlords can claim their properties, respond publicly to reviews, and submit formal disputes if they believe a review is inaccurate or fraudulent.

Rent Verified launched in the Tampa Bay area because it's one of the fastest-growing rental markets in the country. With tens of thousands of people relocating to the Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater metro every year, the demand for reliable rental information has never been higher.
New residents are moving from out of state, often sight-unseen, relying on listing photos and a quick FaceTime tour. They have no local network to ask, no friends who've lived in the building, no way to know that the "renovated kitchen" in the photos was staged or that the landlord takes three weeks to return a phone call.
That's the gap Rent Verified fills. And while we started in Tampa Bay, the platform accepts reviews for any U.S. rental address.
